Baseball Recap: Skyline Comes Up Short

Skyline suffered their closest loss since April 3, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of the Desert Vista Thunder by a score of 2-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Coyotes of the 9-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

Easton Leon was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up a single earned run in six consecutive appearances.

Skyline has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-4 record this season. Desert Vista's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4.

Skyline has already played their next game, a 12-6 loss against Mountain View on the 25th. As for Desert Vista, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-4 win against Casteel on the 28th.
