Last Friday, Central Cambria rang in the new year with a 64-53 victory over Huntingdon.
It was another big night for Grady Snyder, who scored 34 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Serenko, who scored 16 points along with five assists and four steals.
Meanwhile, Bishop Carroll struggled with assists on Monday (Forest Hills had 14 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Bishop Carroll fell 81-71 to Forest Hills. Bishop Carroll has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Luke Repko put forth a good effort for the losing side as he dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. Parker Alexander was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with two steals.
The victory got Central Cambria back to even at 5-5. As for Bishop Carroll, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.
Tuesday's matchup is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Central Cambria have been dynamite from deep this season, having nailed 40.9% of their threes per game. However, it's not like Bishop Carroll struggles in that department as they've drained 47.3% of their threes per game this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
