Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Shullsburg's Winning Streak

Shullsburg lost against Fennimore back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Miners fell 2-0 to the Golden Eagles. The Miners' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Shullsburg still got an impressive performance from Isabelle Wiegel, who had 18 digs and one assist. Wiegel is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Shullsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Fennimore, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 22-4.

Shullsburg has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Potosi on the 29th. As for Fennimore, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Wisconsin Heights on the 27th.
