Baseball Recap: Hesston Takes a Loss

Hesston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Newton Railroaders, falling 12-1.

Hesston saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blayne Wilson, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Jerick Humphreys also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Hesston's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Newton, the win snapped their losing streak at 11 games and leaves them with a 3-15 record.

Coming up, Hesston will look to defend their home field on Friday against Haven at 4:00 p.m. Newton has already played their next matchup (against Hutchinson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
