Football Recap: Delavan-Darien Takes a Loss

Delavan-Darien was the 13-7 winner over Turner when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Comets and the Trojans were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but the Comets suffered a 21-20 loss.

Despite the loss, Delavan-Darien still got an impressive performance from Quintin Arizola, who threw for 262 yards and two TDs, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. A healthy portion of Arizola's aerial production (84 yards to be exact) went to Kaden Garbe.

Delavan-Darien's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Turner, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Delavan-Darien and Turner will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Comets will take on rival Edgerton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Turner is set to challenge their familiar foe Big Foot at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
