Collinsville lost to Cherokee County back in February of 2017, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Panthers walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Warriors. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Mason McAteer was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season.

Collinsville's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Cherokee County, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Collinsville will be playing at home against North Sand Mountain at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cherokee County, they will square off against Guntersville at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
