Softball Recap: Hazel Park Has No Trouble Against Madison

Hazel Park never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past the Madison Eagles 15-0. Considering the Vikings have won nine matchups by more than 12 runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Hazel Park got a massive performance out of Hannah Truba (2027), who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Katie Miller (2027) was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and two runs.

Hazel Park was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .303 or higher in five consecutive games.

Hazel Park pushed their record up to 9-10 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Madison, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
