The George Walton Academy Bulldogs waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Riverside Military Academy 74-17 at home. Given George Walton Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 234th, while Riverside Military Academy is ranked 563rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
George Walton Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Logan Blalock out in front who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mark (mj) Marable, who scored six points along with six assists and two steals.
George Walton Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Riverside Military Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
George Walton Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Tattnall Square Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 27th.
