Basketball Preview: North Park Wildcats vs. Caprock Academy Eagles
Having just played yesterday, the North Park Wildcats will get right back to it and host the Caprock Academy Eagles at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. North Park will be strutting in after a victory while Caprock Academy will be coming in after a loss.
It was a proper cat-fight when North Park faced off against Hayden on Friday. North Park came out on top against Hayden by a score of 47-37. The Wildcats have beaten the Tigers the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tigers has come to flipping the script.
Meanwhile, Caprock Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Ridgway on Tuesday and fell 51-49.
North Park will need to focus on slowing down Tristin Bird, one of several Caprock Academy players who made an impact when they last played. He went 5 for 11 on his way to 12 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Bird a new career-high in blocks (two).
