Providence Hall is 8-2 against American Leadership Academy since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 3:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Providence Hall had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 26-run drubbing they dealt Summit Academy last Thursday. The Patriots blew past the Bears 29-3. The Patriots have beaten the Bears the last nine times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bears has come to flipping the script.
Taycee Metts made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs while going 2-for-4. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alysa Marcek, who fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and four runs while going 4-for-5. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Londyn Schaffer also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Providence Hall kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 16.6.
Meanwhile, American Leadership Academy waltzed into their contest last Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Bulldogs as they made off with a 25-13 victory.
Jackie Huff was a standout: she went 4-for-6 with six stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.4 stolen bases per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Hiss, who scored three runs and stole five bases while getting on base in six of her seven plate appearances.
Providence Hall pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for American Leadership Academy, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
American Leadership Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Providence Hall has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11 hits per game. It's a different story for American Leadership Academy, though, as they've been averaging 10 hits. Given Providence Hall's sizable advantage in that area, the Eagles will need to find a way to close that gap.
Providence Hall took their victory against American Leadership Academy in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 18-2 score. Will the Patriots repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
