Talawanda had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They never let the Tri-County North Panthers get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. The Brave have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Kylie Cobb was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over six innings pitched. Cobb was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Cobb wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Quinn Frieden, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI. That's the most hits Frieden has posted since back in March. Another was Paisley Kerby, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Talawanda's victory bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Tri-County North, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-8.

Talawanda has already played their next matchup, an 11-1 win against Valley View on the 6th. Tri-County North has also already played their next game (against Dixie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
