Football Recap: Mediapolis Comes Up Short on the Road Against Mt. Pleasant

Mediapolis had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Mt. Pleasant Panthers by a score of 17-14. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bulldogs came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 80th, while the Panthers are ranked 238th).

Looking ahead, Mediapolis will be playing in front of their home fans against Keokuk at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mt. Pleasant, they will face off against Knoxville on Friday.
