Fitchburg came out on top against Ashland on Thursday thanks in part to Ivy Antocci's efforts. Antocci was dynamite, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Antocci and Fitchburg will look to defend their home field on Monday against Marlborough at 4:00 p.m. The last time these two faced off, Antocci and Co. were forced to settle for a 12-6 loss.
