Middleton hadn't done well against Verona recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Cardinals walked away with a 23-14 win over the Wildcats. Winning may never get old, but the Cardinals sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Joey Passaglia threw for 184 yards on perfect 21-for-21 passing. Klay Baron was his top target, picking up 41 receiving yards.

Middleton's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Verona, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 3-3.
