Football Recap: Don Lugo Comes Up Short

Don Lugo had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-3 to make it four. They took a blow against the Monrovia Wildcats, falling 56-0. The Conquistadores lost against the Wildcats in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 28-27 score last time.

As for Monrovia, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Monrovia's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jesse Saucedo, who threw for 152 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes. DASHAWN SIEBER helped Saucedo out on the ground, rushing for 57 yards and a pair of TDs on only five carries.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Don Lugo will welcome Chino at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Monrovia, they will host Baldwin Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Braves have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
