Foran entered their tilt with Shelton on Monday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Gaels. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

Foran wouldn't go down easily and took Shelton into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-20, 17-25, 22-25, 15-11.

Aubrey Pippa paced Foran's offense, picking up 20 kills. Pippa got some help from Nyah Boromei and her 43 assists. Pippa was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Shelton lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Nicole Zotova, who had 50 digs and two assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 18 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Avery Wheeler, who had 21 digs and two aces.

Foran's win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Shelton, their record now sits at 9-8.
