Soccer Recap: Highland Park Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Highland Park can now relate to. They lost 11-0 to the Seaman Vikings on Monday. Highland Park were red-hot offensively heading into the matchup (they scored no less than four goals in the three games prior), but Seaman's defense proved too tough.

With the loss, Highland Park broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-9-1. As for Seaman, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

The timing is sure in Seaman's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Basehor-Linwood have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
