After a string of three wins, Brazos's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Groveton Indians by a score of 2-1.

McKenna Stroud paced Brazos' offense, picking up ten kills. Stroud got some help from Blair Warren and her nine assists. Maggie Richardson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Brazos' loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Groveton, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

Brazos wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Goodrich on the 16th. As for Groveton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against New Caney on the 16th.
