Football Game Preview: Hialeah Gardens Gladiators vs. American Patriots

The Hialeah Gardens Gladiators will face off against the American Patriots at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hialeah Gardens will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Last Thursday, Hialeah Gardens got the win against Reagan by a conclusive 27-6. The result was nothing new for the Gladiators, who have now won five matches by 20 points or more so far this season.

Isabelle Castrillo continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 164 yards and three TDs while completing 75% of her passes, and also rushing for 56 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in passer rating (138.3).

Hialeah Gardens didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Carolyn Lebroc and Victoria Cifuentes.

Meanwhile, American has relied on a stalwart defense averaging 9.22 points allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They had to suffer through a 45-0 loss at the hands of Edison. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Patriots were not able to get on the board.

Hialeah Gardens pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 19.5 points. As for American, they moved to 7-2 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Hialeah Gardens couldn't quite get it done against American in their previous meeting back in April of 2023 as they fell 18-6. Can the Gladiators avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
