Baseball Recap: Canton Finds Home Field Redemption Against Gentry

There's no place like home for Canton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. Everything went their way against the Gentry Rams on Wednesday as they made off with a 10-1 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

The team relied heavily on Jahmad Taylor, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three doubles. Another player making a difference was Erick Lowery, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Canton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Canton's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Gentry, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

Coincidentally, Canton and Gentry will both be playing Cleveland Central the next time they take the field. The Rams will host the Wolves at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Tigers will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
