Basketball Recap: Derryfield Skates Past Sanborn Regional with Ease

Derryfield won the last time they faced Sanborn Regional and things went their way on Friday too. The Derryfield Cougars took their match with ease, bagging a 77-35 victory over the Sanborn Regional Indians. The Cougars' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Derryfield's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Sanborn Regional, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Derryfield and Bishop Brady will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Derryfield knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Bishop Brady likes a good challenge. As for Sanborn Regional, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pelham at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Pelham will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Sanborn Regional surely won't give up without a fight.
