Volleyball Recap: Opp Takes Down New Brockton in a Playoff Battle + How To Watch

With a playoff win on the line, Opp rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the New Brockton Gamecocks. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-0 win back in September.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Opp to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carreline Spears, who had 13 aces and nine digs. What's more, Spears racked up ten assists, the most she's had since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Crislyn Birge, who had 18 digs.

With the victory, Opp broke their four-match losing streak and moved their record to 13-15. As for New Brockton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

Opp didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Straughn on the 15th. New Brockton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
