Basketball Recap: Hurricane Comes Up Short

Hurricane lost against Huntington back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hurricane Redskins fell 68-56 to the Huntington Highlanders. The Redskins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Hurricane still got an impressive performance from Carson O'Dell, who went 10 of 20 to rack up 30 points. The matchup was O'Dell's sixth in a row with at least 16 points. Sean Legros was another key player, dropping a double-double with 15 points and ten boards.

Hurricane's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Huntington, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-7.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Spring Valley the next time they take the court. Huntington will head out to face Spring Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Hurricane will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
