Basketball Recap: Claremont Takes a Loss

Claremont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Ayala Bulldogs 78-43. The Wolfpack were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Claremont lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jaden Cardenas, who posted six points and six assists. The dominant performance gave Cardenas a new career-high in assists. Tyler Zitar was another key player, putting up ten points and five rebounds.

Claremont's record is now 9-12. As for Ayala, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-7.

Claremont will face off against Diamond Bar at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Claremont is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.9 points per game this season. As for Ayala, they will take on Bonita at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
