Football Game Preview: Bradford Tornadoes vs. Santa Fe Raiders

Two dominant signal callers in Arnayshia Griffin and Brooke Zeller are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Bradford Tornadoes will challenge the Santa Fe Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bradford is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 26 points per game this season.

Bradford is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They blew past Newberry, posting a 53-0 win. Given the Tornadoes' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Panthers are ranked 206th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Griffin was her usual excellent self, throwing for 250 yards and four touchdowns while completing 74.1% of her passes, and also rushing for 45 yards and one TD. That's the most passing touchdowns she has posted since back in February.

Bradford didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Griffin was the real danger to the passing game, picking up two interceptions all by herself. She got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Santa Fe didn't have too much trouble with Keystone Heights on Tuesday as they won 20-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

Bradford's record now sits at 11-2. As for Santa Fe, their record is now 10-1.

Everything came up roses for Bradford against Santa Fe in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, as the team secured a 60-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tornadoes since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
