Basketball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Liberty Academy's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Liberty Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Legacy Academy Warriors 58-34 on Friday. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 24 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Legacy Academy still got an impressive performance from Oaklee Lofton, who posted 26 points along with seven boards and three blocks. That was a full 76.5% of Legacy Academy's points, marking the 27th time in a row Lofton has earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Grace Lofton, who scored six points and six rebounds.

Liberty Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season. As for Legacy Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 23-8.

Liberty Academy has already played their next contest, a 64-35 win against Gospel Light Christian on the 15th. Legacy Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
