Soccer Recap: James Lick's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

James Lick won the last time they faced Prospect and things went their way on Thursday too. The James Lick Comets' defense stepped up to hand the Prospect Panthers a 1-0 shutout. The win was some much needed relief for the Comets as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Alfredo Soreque, which was the first he's scored this season.

The victory got James Lick back to even at 3-3. As for Prospect, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6-2.

James Lick didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Leland on the 13th. As for Prospect, they will challenge Oak Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Prospect is facing Oak Grove at the right time seeing as Oak Grove is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
