Basketball Recap: Southampton Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Southampton had won 17 straight home games dating back to last season and Alex Franklin did his part to make it 18 on Friday. The Southampton Mariners simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Babylon Panthers 99-50 thanks in part to Franklin, who almost dropped a triple-double on 30 points, 13 boards, and nine assists. Those 30 points gave him a new career-high.

Southampton's win bumped their record up to 11-1.

Southampton is taking a road trip to face off against Bayport-Blue Point at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Southampton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches. As for Babylon, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Southampton at 4:30 p.m. on February 4th.
