Softball Recap: West Union Eagles vs. Houlka Wildcats        
        
		
            
 West Union can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Houlka Wildcats  a   15-0 shutout. The  victory was just what West Union needed coming off of  a  9-3 defeat in their prior  matchup.
  Sadie Cobb and  Addison Collum made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing,  Cobb   tossed  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (she also didn't allow any  walks). Meanwhile,  Collum   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (she also didn't allow any  walks). At bat,  Cobb  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-2, while  Collum  scored a  run while going 1-for-2.
 In other batting news,  Braley Martin was a standout: she went 3-for-3 with two  triples, two  runs,  and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Mollie Reaves, who  went 3-for-3 with three  runs, a  triple,  and  an  RBI.
 West Union's win  ended  a  four-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 2-8. As for Houlka, their loss was  their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 2-9.
 West Union will  face off against Bruce at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Houlka, they will be playing at home against Vardaman at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
