Soccer Recap: Highland Takes a Loss

Highland was the 1-0 winner over Gilbert when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Highland Hawks fell 2-0 to the Gilbert Tigers on Friday. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Highland's loss dropped their record down to 9-8-2. As for Gilbert, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-6-2.

Highland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gilbert, they will challenge Sunnyside at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sunnyside is on a six-game streak of home wins, Gilbert a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the pitch.
