Baseball Recap: Ambassador Christian School Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Carmel Christian, Ambassador Christian School was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Grace Academy a 4-0 shutout. This was a revenge game for Ambassador Christian School: when they faced off against Grace Academy back in March, they had to take a 11-2 loss.

Not much got past Jacson Taplin, who gave up just two hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Grace Academy off the board. Taplin also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Ambassador Christian School is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-12 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jax McCoy, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Ambassador Christian School is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-12 record this season. As for Grace Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-10 record this season.
