Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Crusaders vs. Central Fellowship Christian Academy Lancers

Trinity Christian suffered their biggest defeat since November 19, 2024 on Monday. They were beaten by the Central Fellowship Christian Academy Lancers 74-37. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 547th, while the Lancers are ranked 175th).

Central Fellowship Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Shaheem Barbosa, who posted 27 points along with five boards and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barbosa has scored all season. Brayden Emory was another key player, putting up 13 points and six rebounds.

Trinity Christian dropped their record down to 1-16 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Central Fellowship Christian Academy, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian will venture away from home to take on Gatewood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
