Basketball Recap: Cypress Creek Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Cypress Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They walked away with a 62-49 win over the Tohopekaliga Tigers on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bears also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.

Cypress Creek had a senior duo take command as Alikai Creque went 8 of 12 en route to 20 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals and Navaris Mora went 9 for 11 on his way to 20 points along with six boards and six steals. Creque's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kason Beezer, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 13 points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Cypress Creek has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-12 record this season. As for Tohopekaliga, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-12.

Cypress Creek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-46 victory against Lake Buena Vista on the 23rd. Tohopekaliga has also already played their next game, a 74-50 defeat against Poinciana on the 27th.
