Miller School of Albemarle won the last time they faced Roanoke Catholic and things went their way on Tuesday too. Everything went the Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks' way against the Roanoke Catholic Celtics as the Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks made off with an 82-58 win. The Mavericks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 22 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Miller School of Albemarle to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Hairston, who went 7 for 8 on his way to 19 points and six assists. Hairston continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Shane Crissman, who went 6 of 11 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points.

Hairston wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Miller School of Albemarle was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now racked up at least 21 assists in three consecutive matches.

Despite the defeat, Roanoke Catholic saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Demarcus Brown went 7 for 11 on his way to 20 points and six boards. Yajae Hairston was another key player, putting up nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Miller School of Albemarle's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-10. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34 points. As for Roanoke Catholic, with the loss, they broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-7.

Miller School of Albemarle will take on Fishburne Military at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Miller School of Albemarle has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Roanoke Catholic has already played their next contest, a 62-55 win against North Cross on the 30th.
