Volleyball Recap: Owen J. Roberts Comes Up Short

Owen J. Roberts was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Perkiomen Valley Vikings, falling 3-0. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

While Owen J. Roberts ultimately came up short, they really made Perkiomen Valley work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 26-24, 25-19.

Maddie Reese paced Owen J. Roberts' offense, picking up eight kills. Reese really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 12. Emma Needham and Cameron Hnat kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Owen J. Roberts' loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Perkiomen Valley, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Owen J. Roberts is set to challenge their familiar foe Boyertown at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Perkiomen Valley will square off against rival Upper Merion Area at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
