Lia Carter leads a balanced attack to beat North Moore

Recap: Jordan-Matthews Jets vs. North Moore Mustangs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northwood, the Jordan-Matthews Jets were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They skirted past North Moore 47-45. That's another feather in the cap for Jordan-Matthews, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jordan-Matthews to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lia Carter, who scored 17 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Carter has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Patience Cox, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Despite the loss, North Moore still got an impressive performance from Calissa Clendenin, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds. Clendenin is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last five games she's played.

Jordan-Matthews' victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for North Moore, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Bartlett Yancey the next time they take the court. Jordan-Matthews will head out to face Bartlett Yancey at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while North Moore will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
