Basketball Recap: Moore Catholic Comes Up Short

Moore Catholic fought the good fight in their overtime game against St. Joseph-by-the-Sea on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the St. Joseph-by-the-Sea Vikings 68-64. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mavericks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-42 back in December of 2024.

Moore Catholic now has a losing record at 3-4. As for St. Joseph-by-the-Sea, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Moore Catholic will welcome Fordham Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Fordham Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Moore Catholic likes a good challenge. St. Joseph-by-the-Sea has already played their next contest (against Xavier), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
