Football Recap: Bay Path RVT Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Bay Path RVT had lost five straight headed into Friday's matchup, but Elias Vega didn't let it get to six. The Minutemen walked away with a 35-28 victory over the Millbury Woolies on Friday for which the team can thank Vega, who rushed for 201 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.6 yards per carry, and also picked up 53 receiving yards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 117 rushing yards per game.

Millbury's loss came despite strong showings from Aiden Phillipo and Matteus Mateo. Phillipo picked up 254 receiving yards and three TDs, while Mateo threw for 338 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt.

Bay Path RVT's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Millbury, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.
