Football Recap: Hilmar Starts Season with Victory at Home + How To Watch

Hilmar gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They claimed a resounding 32-0 victory over the Grace Davis Spartans. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Yellowjackets' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 279th, while the Spartans are ranked 644th).

Hilmar didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Nathan Ayala and Leo Nunes. Another thorn in Grace Davis' side was Dominick Clayton, who forced one fumble and made seven total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Coming up, Hilmar will head out on the road to square off against Los Banos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Grace Davis, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Orestimba at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
