Softball Game Preview: Briarwood Christian Lions vs. Sylacauga Aggies

The Briarwood Christian Lions are taking a road trip to take on the Sylacauga Aggies at 9:00 a.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Last Tuesday, Briarwood Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Central of Clay County and fell 2-1. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Briarwood Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Larsen Cummings, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that Cummings has hit this season.

Meanwhile, Sylacauga came up short against Fayetteville on Thursday and fell 5-2.

Briarwood Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16-1. As for Sylacauga, their loss dropped their record down to 11-17.

Briarwood Christian suffered a grim 8-2 defeat to Sylacauga in their previous meeting on April 8th. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
