Softball Recap: Lexington Minutemen vs. Ralston Rams
Lexington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Ralston Rams, falling 19-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Minutemen of the 12-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2018.
Marissa Oestreich made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.
Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Ralston, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6.
Lexington didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-10 loss vs. Alliance on the 21st. Ralston has also already played their next matchup, a 10-0 victory against Chadron on the 21st.
