Basketball Recap: Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln Comes Up Short

Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost to the Wausau East Lumberjacks at home by a 55-39 margin. While losing is never fun, the Red Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 388th, while the Lumberjacks are ranked 11th).

Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Wausau East, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln will take on Merrill at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wausau East, it'll be Eastside v. Westside when they and Wausau West meet at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Wausau East's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
