Basketball Recap: Seneca's Run of Three Straight Wins Now Over

It was a good run, but Seneca unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 52-44 to the Lexington Minutemen.

Lexington got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Micah Coffman out in front who went 6 for 14 on his way to 17 points and five rebounds. Coffman continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Blaine Friedmansky, who posted 12 points.

Seneca's defeat dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Lexington, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seneca will welcome Herscher at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Lexington, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Rochester at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lexington comes in on five and Rochester on six.
