Tre Roach made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three doubles. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.
In other pitching news, Rhys Oldham tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Addison Lambert, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Austin Wendorf, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Orangewood Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .469. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as First Academy only posted a batting average of .192.
Meanwhile, Saint Francis Catholic had just enough and edged out Oak Hall 9-7 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolves.
Colin Kuruppacherry was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Diaz, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Saint Francis Catholic's win bumped their record up to 21-7. As for Orangewood Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 17-9.
