Basketball Recap: King City Comes Up Short

King City lost against Monte Vista Christian back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The King City Mustangs took a 52-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monte Vista Christian Mustangs. King City has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Monte Vista Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nico Downie, who went 6 of 15 on his way to 14 points in addition to six boards and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Dobler, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

King City's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Monte Vista Christian, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

King City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 48-42 defeat against York on the 13th. Monte Vista Christian has also already played their next game, a 67-52 loss against Oakwood on the 14th.
