Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Jackson walked away with it. They put the hurt on the St. Michael Catholic Cardinals with a sharp 44-23 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Aggies, who have now won ten contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

Jackson was led to victory by Landon Duckworth and Ezavier Crowell. Duckworth rushed for 209 yards and a pair of scores on only 14 carries, while Crowell rushed for 230 yards and two TDs while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. Those 209 rushing yards gave Duckworth a new career-high. Jackson also got help from Keeyun Chapman, who showed off his sure hands for 133 receiving yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Jackson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 458 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 161 rushing yards in 13 consecutive matchups.

Jackson's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. AJ Hayes was especially locked on to St. Michael Catholic's QB and sacked him twice. Jackson got some further help from Jaiden Mcdonald: he picked up a sack, made nine total tackles, and defended one pass.

Jackson's record is now 12-2. As for St. Michael Catholic, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 13-1.

Coming up, Jackson will take on Anniston at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' defense has only allowed 11.2 points per game this season, so the Aggies' offense will have their work cut out for them. St. Michael Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
