Basketball Recap: Hanover Starts Season with Victory at Home

Hanover took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 68-65 win over the Troy Trojans. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 57-44 victory the Trojans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Braylon Meyn was nothing short of spectacular: he shot 63% from the field en route to 27 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kadrick Cohorst, who posted 12 points and six assists.

Looking ahead, Hanover will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Nemaha Central on Tuesday. Troy has already played their next game (against Hiawatha), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
