Football Recap: Carrollton Comes Up Short

There was early excitement for Carrollton after they claimed the first score on Friday, but it was Lexington who ended up claiming the real prize. The Trojans fell just short of the Minutemen by a score of 44-42. The loss came about despite the Trojans having been up 28 in the second quarter.

Carrollton is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3. As for Lexington, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Looking ahead, Carrollton will be playing at home against Holden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests. As for Lexington, they will head out to challenge Lafayette County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Minutemen will be up against the Huskers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.29 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
