Jordan Lauago Turns in Season-Best Effort

On Friday, La Mirada got the W thanks in part to Jordan Lauago playing the best football he has all season. Lauago rushed for 200 yards and three touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

Lauago might have his next game, a home matchup with Mayfair, circled on his calendar. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Lauago saw the Monsoons), he picked up 103 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 42 yards.

Louis Johnson's Big Game Leads Mayfair over Warren

Louis Johnson put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in October of 2023 on Friday. He rushed for 157 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 72-yard run.

If the past is any indication, Johnson could be in store for another big game when he takes on La Mirada on Friday. When Johnson last faced the Matadores back in October of 2023, he rushed for 179 yards and two touchdowns.

Bernardo Blanco Goes Supernova in Downey Victory

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Bernardo Blanco stepped things up a notch to give Downey the 'W'. Blanco was unstoppable, rushing for 103 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries.

Downey's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Blanco's next contest is against Dominguez on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort.

Fitu-Ahkui and Dominguez will face off against Downey at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will pit Fitu-Ahkui up against the Vikings' star quarterback Oscar Rios. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.
