Heritage hadn't done well against Ponderosa recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Eagles blew past the Mustangs 35-14. Considering the Eagles have won four contests by more than 20 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Heritage to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mo Thenell, who rushed for 175 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. Thenell also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Eagles are undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.
